Balkan Youth

Young people growing up in the Balkan region face enormous social, economic, and psychological challenges as they struggle to overcome years of ethnic strife and political and social upheaval. With the youth of today in the process of forming their attitudes towards their neighbours, their societies, and their own futures, now is the time to support them in developing the values and skills they will need to fulfill their visions of a more hopeful and peaceful world.

 

Our mission

The Balkan Children and Youth Foundation is dedicated to improving the conditions, prospects, and quality of life for children and youth up to age 30 throughout the Balkan region.

Our goals

  • Increase the effectiveness, scale, and sustainability of youth programmes;
  • strengthen the capacity of children and youth NGOs, local and national, dealing with youth and youth busines initiatives
  • Generate social investments from the business sector, governments, international funding agencies, and NGOs;
  • Enhance cooperation among the business, government, and civil society sectors to improve the conditions and prospects for young people.
