Youth Business Macedonia


Technical Assistance / Capacity Building Intervention for the Personnel of Babylon Centers

Babylon centers were created in 1999 by CESVi as an original network of eight children and youth centers. In
2001, through the World Bank Grant executed by UNICEF, the number of these centers has grown to 26 and
at the moment there are 33 Babylon Centers operating in Macedonia, serving 16,000 children and youngsters.
Main activities of the centers are English and computer classes, life-skills learning, creative workshops
and various other activities involving local community, business sector, schools and parents. Since current
funding is ending on July 31, 2006 there is a need of developing financial sustainability strategy, part of
